About the Tournament

It's that time of year again! The plans for the 18th Annual Davey Allison Memorial Golf Classic are in full swing! This year's tournament festivities are scheduled for July 25-26 at NorthStone Country Club in Huntersville and we want you to join us! This year's event promises to be an exciting and first class event, with great golf, fellowship, fantastic prizes and benefits a great cause!

In July of 1993, Davey Allison lost his life due to a traumatic brain injury, two weeks before our very first golf tournament. To honor his memory, The Davey Allison Memorial Golf Classic has been dedicated to helping families who struggle with the long-term effects of brain injury. Over the years, this event has provided desperately needed funding for numerous brain injury advocacy, research, and support groups including: the Brain Injury Association of America, the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina, the International Brain Injury Association and the National Brain Injury Research, Treatment & Training Foundation. Over the years, this event, through your generous and loving support has raised almost $750,000! This year, the event proceeds will benefit Hinds' Feet Farm, a long term, family care home for survivors of traumatic brain injury, currently under development in Huntersville, N.C.. When completed, Hinds' Feet Farm will offer round-the-clock care for six brain injury survivors, a day camp program for twelve to eighteen individuals and a clubhouse for brain injury peer and support groups. Proceeds from the tournament will go to offset on-going development costs and the construction of the main residence.
